Plunderstorm Event 2025: 5 Mounts Coming to World of Warcraft

Plunderstorm is returning to World of Warcraft in January 2025, bringing new mounts, new toys, and new cosmetics with it. For this round of Plunderstorm, players will be able to earn points to purchase mounts and cosmetics. Here's a breakdown of the 5 new mounts coming to World of Warcraft with Plunderstorm.

Plunderstorm 2025: 5 New Mounts Coming to World of Warcraft

Plunderstorm is a pirate-themed battle royale event that Blizzard debuted in March 2024. In the first Plunderstorm, players received mounts and other rewards through earning experience and advancing to the next level similar to a battle pass.

This time, players will be able to earn points to spend at the Plunderstore, with the 5 new mounts being the most expensive at 5000 points each.

The battle royale is returning to World of Warcraft from January 14th to February 18th, 2025. This will likely serve as the break in between raid tiers and Mythic+ seasons. This means we can guess that the new raid, the Liberation of Undermine, will be releasing Tuesday, February 18th.

The Plunderstore will allow players to save up for specific items that they want. In the first Plunderstorm, players had to max out their character to level 40 to unlock the mount rewards. Players will even be able to trade Plunderstore points for Trader's Tender.

There will be 68 total items players can purchase from the Plunderstore, costing a whopping 70,000 points in total. Plunder will be the currency that the Plunderstore uses, with the player cap being 15,000 plunder at once.

The Royal Seafeather is the first of the 3 giant parrot mounts that players can purchase during January 2025's Plunderstorm event. This blue parrot features a saddle fashioned from a ship wheel - the ship wheel itself made from a skull and bones. The Royal Seafeather will cost 5000 points through the Plunderstore.

Polly Roger is the second giant parrot mount available during the next Plunderstorm event. This regal parrot has a red and gold saddle with green jewels. This true pirate parrot also has a feather cap, a hook for a claw, and a black eye patch. Polly Roger will also cost 5000 points on the Plunderstore.

Hooktalon is undoubtedly the coolest of the three giant parrot mounts. This bright purple and blue giant parrot has a black saddle with purple gems, a black hat with a purple feather, and a hook claw. Hooktalen will also cost 5000 points on the Plunderstore.

These three parrot mounts will also have the Ride Along feature. Similar to the mounts in Dragonflight, I'm hoping these parrot mounts will take you along as a baby chick.

The Silver Tidestallion is the fourth mount coming to the Plunderstorm event in 2025. This blue and silver seahorse mount will also cost 5000 points on the Plunderstore.

The final mount is the Plunderlord's Midnight Crocolisk, a recolor of the original Plunderstorm mount reward. This dark brown Crocolisk is covered in armor and sparking silver coins. Behind the saddle is a treasure chest surrounded by candles, with swords sticking out from the treasure pile. The mount does have a special effect where the coins sparkle.
