As someone with over 100 mods installed for Stardew Valley, I'm so excited that Fields of Mistria is starting to build a modding community! Although the adorable farming game is a work of art on its own, players can now install mods through the Nexus Mod manager to customize their gameplay.
Mods can let players slow down the in-game time, increase movement speed, and add plenty of new outfits and decorations. Here are 20 of the BEST mods for Fields of Mistria - and how to install them via Nexus mods.

When I first got a gaming PC, I was pretty overwhelmed by modding. I thought it was definitely over my head, and I didn't start modding until over a year after I started gaming on PC.
Little did I know that installing mods via Nexus mods was actually really easy! And all of these mods also work on the Steam Deck!
Here is how to install Nexus mods on your computer or Steam Deck:
Go to www.nexusmods.com and create a free account
Download the Nexus Mods Manager
Download mods via their website (not the mod manager)
Open both Steam and the Nexus Mods Manager
Start Fields of Mistria from the Mod Manager (not Steam)
For cozy games like Stardew Valley and Fields of Mistria, the mods are pretty small and work well with each other. You can download as many mods as you want to completely customize your gameplay! Here are some of the most popular mods for this cozy game:
This first mod is not the most exciting, but it is the most important! You should first install the Mods of Mistria Installer. This installer is required for most of the mods available on Nexus.
The next two mods improve the quality of life in game. The Movement Speed Options for MOMI (Mods of Mistria Installer) lets players increase their walking speed. Players can choose between 1.5x faster or 2x faster!
Time of Mistria gives players complete control of the time. If you feel like the days are going by too fast for you to get everything done, you can slow the time down as low as 0%, completely freezing time. If you're impatient for things to happen, you can speed up time as much as 500%!
Cosmetics - More Colors (For MOMI) adds a ton of different colors to the existing in-game outfits. This simple mod adds 25 new colorways to the outfits!
Effe's Decor - All in One is a combination of 7 different mods created by EffeDraws on Nexus Mods. This mod pack includes Pretty Paths, Summer Sofa, Plentiful Plants, Rugs, Plush Pillows, Perfect Poufs, and a Fabulous Fridge! On top of indoor plants, sunflower rugs, and a ton of new decorations, the fridge also becomes a usable item with a chest.
More Hairstyles - Enable Hidden Hairstyles adds 11 new hairstyles to this cozy game.
Effe's Decor - Witchy adds a completely new set of witchy furniture - including a cauldron, crystals, stacks of books, toads, witch hats, and celestial furniture and rugs. (This is personally my favorite furniture set for the game!)
Effe also has a mod called Rustic Barns n' Coops that recolors the barns and coops to a natural light brown wood that looks perfect in the Fall!
Magic Cost Options (for MOMI) lets players choose how much mana it costs to casts spells. If you feel like you can't cast enough spells during the day, you can set the cost to free, half cost, or a quarter of the usual cost.
Similarly, this Infinite Stamina mod allows you to have unlimited stamina, and you don't have to worry about managing how much you do in each day!
Creative Crafting (for MOMI) gives Fields of Mistria players complete crafting freedom. This mod unlocks all crafting recipes at the start of the game, makes them free, and also makes them have 0 crafting time. This mod is great for people that just want to decorate to their heart's content or skip early game grinding.
Kemonomimi Player (MOMI) is a mod that allows you to customize your players with different animal features like ears and tails. This mod features these ears and tails - Cat, bunny, deer, fox, bear, dog, wolf, bird wings, and a shark fin! Kemonomimi Romance also updates NPCs to have these animal characteristics too!
Witchy Barns and Coops (MOMI) adds witchy purple and dark brown color variants for barns and coops to the game adorned with candles and crescent moons. This mod is perfect for players doing a witchy playthrough of the game!
Quick Relationships (for MOMI) allows players to increase the rate that relationships develop. You can increase the heart level of NPCs faster and decrease the amount of time it takes to trigger heart events.

Cross-Season Crops (for MOMI) allows you to grow any crop in any season, an easy way to keep making money in the winter!
